Aaaaand…we’re back!

In this episode, Lauren and Sarah kick off season three catching up with what they’ve been up to during the show’s brief hiatus. The girls reminisce about Lauren’s ordination and Sarah’s excellent kite flying skills, then hop into a discussion about where Ezer is headed next: female sexuality and the current sexual/relational trends hitting our culture.

Strap in. Strap on. You’re in for a ride!

In this episode, Lauren and Sarah interview their friend and blogger, Nate Sparks, on his open letter to The Gospel Coalition. We chatted about the theology behind complementarianism, it’s dangers which lead to abuse, and loneliness for both genders. You can find more from Nate at natesparks130.com and follow him on Twitter @natesparks130.

Lauren and Sarah took a time out to interview David Zahl, the director of Mockingbird Ministries. He is also the author of “A mess of Help: From the Crucified Soul of Rock and Roll” and co-author of “Law and Gospel: A Theology for Sinners (and Saints)”. We chatted with David about his background, where Mockingbird began, the upcoming conference, and male emotions.

You can find more from David Zahl over at Mbird.com.

Lauren and Sarah take a break from discussing woman in the Old Testament to interview Matthew Pierce, author of Homeschool Sex Machine and JV Superstar. We discussed Christian subculture of the 90’s, Yoga Pants, and which of us kissed dating goodbye.

You can find Matthew Pierce on twitter @ongreenmountain or his personal website, www.matthewepierce.com.

Woman in the Fall

Genesis 3

In Episode 4 of season 1, Lauren and Sarah discuss woman in the fall (Genesis 3). We consider the temptation of woman and why the serpent might have tempted her instead of man. Sin enters the picture and intimacy with God is lost and intimacy between the man and the woman is disrupted. We explore the curses given in this chapter, primarily woman’s curse, which then leads us to focus on her redemption.

Episode 003 – Woman in the Garden

Genesis 2

Episode 3 of Season 1 is here! We will give an answer to the question “Who is woman?” from the account of creation — in the garden (Genesis 2). God creates man and states that it is not good for him to be alone. It is here that woman is created as a gift of grace to alleviate the loneliness of man. She is like him but not him. Similar, yet different. Together, God says about his creation “it is very good.”

Episode 001 – The Reveal (Pilot)

Hello and welcome!  We are excited to share with you our first Ezer Uncaged podcast. In this podcast we introduce ourselves and reveal who we are and discuss the purpose and passion behind Ezer Uncaged.

In this and every other podcast we will talk the Gospel, Jesus, doctrine & theology, women, gender relations, and so much more.  We will discuss and answer the tough and often avoided questions regarding women, such as:

How does the Gospel — the doctrine of the justification of sinners — radically affect woman and womanhood?

What does freedom look like for her?

And how is this freedom for woman good news for man?

At the end of the day it’s the Gospel we desire to proclaim to you to bring you real, true, and ever-lasting freedom.
